Is There a Waiting Period to Add a Domestic Partner to My Coverage?

Not during Annual Enrollment. However, during the year any election change must be consistent with the change in status. For example, if you enter into a domestic partnership, you may not change from the HRA Plan option to the HSA, but you may add your new domestic partner to your medical plan. Changes are not automatic. You must provide notification within 31 days of the event to request a change, and you may be asked to provide documentation (such as a documentation of your domestic partnership) to make the change effective.
